IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu on Wednesday showcased Telangana to a visiting Slovenian delegation, highlighting investment opportunities the State offers across key sectors such as Life Sciences, automobiles and information technology.
With its world-class infrastructure and investor-friendly ecosystem, Telangana is one of the most attractive destinations for global investments, he told the trade and industry delegation led by Slovenia’s Ambassador to India Tomaz Mencin, during the interaction at the Assembly Committee Hall.
Assuring that the State government would extend necessary support and incentives to companies setting up facilities in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and automotive components sectors, Mr.Sridhar Babu appreciated Slovenia’s advancements in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. The country contributes significantly to Europe’s Life Sciences and pharma supply chain. As a leader in India’s pharma and biotech sectors Telangana offers strong synergies through its robust infrastructure and established ecosystem, the Minister’s office quoted him as saying, during the meeting, in a release.
He also pointed out that Slovenia plays a significant role in supplying components to major global automobile brands such as Volkswagen, Kia, Peugeot, Citroën, and Stellantis. The Minister highlighted the immense opportunities in IT development and cloud computing in Telangana and invited Slovenian firms to explore partnerships and investments in these areas.
With the recently concluded Free Trade Agreement between India and European Union enabling duty-free access for nearly 99.95% of products exported to the European markets, Telangana has become an even more attractive investment hub, Mr.Sridhar Babu said.
