The Daily Seizure Report issued by the district administration indicates that the entire quantum of seizures was effected by flying squad teams (FST), static surveillance teams (SST) and the police, while no seizures were reported by the Income Tax Department or the State Prohibition and Excise Department.
Among other categories, liquor seizures totalled 120.665 litres, with an assessed value of ₹56,244.92. Enforcement agencies also seized narcotic substances weighing 10.825 kg, estimated at ₹5,85,250.
Seizures under the precious metals category, comprising gold and silver ornaments, were valued at ₹7,13,400. In addition, 123 items identified as inducements, including laptops, cookers and sarees, valued at ₹66,300, were confiscated during inspection and surveillance operations.
Officials said surveillance has been intensified with 90 FST and 90 SST deployed at key locations. They advised the public not to carry cash exceeding ₹50,000 or goods valued above ₹10,000 in bulk without valid supporting documents, as such movement may attract scrutiny under election monitoring guidelines.
