Simon Davidson caught a record-breaking seven-foot monster shark off the coast of Devon. He was helped by five other fishermen who had to hold the giant fish to catch it.

A fisherman from Northamptonshire caught a monster-sized, seven-foot shark off the coast of Devon. Simon Davidson is celebrating this feat of capturing the giant creature which was record-breaking in size. It was seven feet in length and six feet in girth, according to the Daily Mail. Weighing 550lbs or approximately 249 kg, it is the biggest fish ever caught in British waters.

Simon said that he had to wrestle with the porbeagle shark for an hour before he was able to reel it in along with the help of five other fishermen. Speaking about the massive catch, Simon said, "My bait got taken and I didn't think it was a big fish because it hadn't started to fight yet."Then I reeled it into the side of the boat and it was a real monster. He also informed that his body was ‘battered’ by the ordeal.
