A video featuring an Indian couple meeting briefly at a metro station in the UK has drawn attention to the realities faced by couples working opposite shifts abroad.
An Indian couple residing in the UK has offered a glimpse into their difficult daily routine by highlighting the challenges of managing work and personal life while living abroad.
In a video shared by digital creator Zeba Saifi on Instagram, she and her husband met briefly at a metro station as they work opposite shifts.
Zeba, who was headed to her day shift, said in the video, “Hello guys. I have a day shift and I am going to office now. And see, my husband is here, who has just returned from office after completing his night shift.”
Her husband added that life abroad is far from what is often portrayed on social media: “Life in foreign countries is not so easy. It is not like you see in reels. We are husband and wife we get to meet each other at the train station. We don’t even have the opportunity of sitting at home and talking to each other for ten minutes.”
The video showed the couple parting ways moments later - she boarded her train to work, while he headed home after his shift.
