Capt. S. Divakar takes charge as MD and CEO of Dredging Corporation of India, following board approval for his appointment.
Capt. S. Divakar on Wednesday assumed charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Dredging Corporation of India (DCIL). His appointment as Additional Director (Executive and Non-Independent) and Key Managerial Personnel was approved by the Board of Directors and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He will hold office until the next general meeting, to be held within three months, when shareholder approval will be sought for his regular appointment. Capt. Divakar joined DCIL in 1987 as a cadet and spent over two decades at sea. During his seven-year tenure as Master of Dredger, he commanded advanced vessels and executed major projects in India and abroad.
