Dindigul and Madurai Collectors conduct joint inspection
Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan and Madurai Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar on Wednesday conducted a joint inspection of vehicle check carried out by static surveillance team at Parali Pudur toll plaza located on the border of Madurai and Dindigul districts.
According to a press release, the joint inspection was carried out at Parali Pudur toll plaza which comes under Natham Assembly Constituency in Dindigul district.
Separate committees have been constituted for each of the seven Assembly constituencies in Dindigul District and 10 Assembly constituencies in Madurai district to investigate the election related complaints and to undertake the surveillance activities.
The Collectors advised the SST officials on how to carry out the vehicle checks. Dindigul Superintendent of Police A. Pradeep and Madurai Superintendent of Police B.K. Aravind, were present.

“Judicial time is a valuable public resource. Every frivolous or misconceived invocation of constitutional jurisdiction results in diversion of time from genuinely deserving litigants,” said the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court while imposing a cost of ₹50,000 on a man from Theni district who filed a petition with an unusual prayer: permission to conduct daily protests till the ‘World War’ ends.
