Join the 'Yogandhra' campaign with district-administered yoga training sessions leading up to a massive event on June 21.
A large number of people enthusiastically took part in the yoga training sessions organised by the district administration at ward secretariats as part of the ‘Yogandhra’ campaign.
The campaign will culminate in a massive event scheduled to be held at RK Beach on June 21, marking the International Yoga Day.
Trainer of Trainers (ToTs) trained the citizens, and it will continue on Friday and Saturday as well, the officials said. The training sessions were supervised by District Sports Officer June Galliot.
Meanwhile, the district administration is making elaborate arrangements for the ‘Yogandhra’ event to be held on the Beach Road on May 31. Around 3,000 people are likely to take part in the programme from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
