Upcoming poll a choice between status quo and change: Seeman

Upcoming poll a choice between status quo and change: Seeman

The Hindu

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman on Thursday said the upcoming Assembly elections would witness a contest between two sides — one that had long been a source of problem for public and other that had come forward to resolve them. Addressing the people at the election campaign organised in Nagercoil, he said the real competition was between these two sides, and appealed the people to support to NTK candidates, noting that they had come forward to resolve the issues affecting the people across various sectors such as medicine, teaching and sanitation.

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman on Thursday said the upcoming Assembly elections would witness a contest between two sides — one that had long been a source of problems for public and other that had come forward to resolve them.

Addressing the people at the election campaign in Nagercoil, he appealed to the people to support NTK candidates, noting that they had come forward to resolve the issues affecting the people across various sectors such as medicine, teaching and sanitation.

He advocated abolishment of freebies, stating that if the NTK formed a government, it would provide essential services such as education, healthcare, drinking water and other facilities free, making freebies unnecessary.

Mr. Seeman said it was former Chief Minister K. Karunanidhi who enabled the BJP to take root in Tamil Nadu. “How do you accept and claim that they ensure the safety of minorities?,” he asked.

He noted that the NTK government would make Tamil Nadu self-sufficient, adding that even bio-gas would be produced in Kanniyakumari district by establishing cattle farms to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas.

He also campaigned for NTK candidates in places such as Aralvaimozhi, Karungal and Thuckalay.
