College Day
Einstein College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, celebrated its 22nd College Day with pomp in the presence of trustees A. Mathivanan, A. Anbuvananan and A. Ezhilvanan. R. Velayutham, principal, welcomed the gathering. Orator and Tamil scholar Suki Sivam, who was the chief guest, urged the students to excel not only in education but also in all areas of life. Students Y. Haitha and S. Rajakaviya received the “Pole Star 2026” award for academic excellence for the year 2022-2026.
Lighting cceremony
Sri Sarada College for Women (autonomous), Tirunelveli, celebrated its 38th lighting ceremony and valedictory function of the Mahabharata discourse series at Sister Niveditha auditorium under the leadership of Srimath Swami Shuddhananda with spiritual fervour and academic solemnity. The valedictory address of the Mahabharata lecture series was delivered by Priya Santhana Krishnan, professor of practice (Sanskrit), who elaborated the timeless relevance of the Mahabharata in contemporary society.
P. Chandrasekaran, director, felicitated the students and exhorted them to be a socially responsible citizens and ambassadors of the alma mater. The event also featured the presentation of a report on the activities of the college union and its allied associations.
