Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) president Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday demanded that the State government order a CBI investigation into the alleged financial irregularities to the tune of ₹1,000 crore, which had come to light following searches conducted by the Enforcement Directorate at Tasmac headquarters and in several liquor manufacturing facilities.
Dr. Anbumani said those in power earned more money through financial irregularities in Tasmac than the revenue earned by the State government through Tasmac. “This is why the State government refuses to order a probe,” the PMK leader said.
