
Modi to visit Adichunchanagiri on April 15

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Sriguru Bhyravykya Mandira in Adichunchanagiri on April 15, honoring Balagangadharanatha Swami.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on April 15 to inaugurate Sriguru Bhyravykya Mandira, the memorial of the late seer of Adi Chunchanagiri Mutt, Balagangadharanatha Swami, according to mutt sources.
The memorial is located near the Kalabhyraveshwara temple on the mutt premises in Adichunchanagiri of Nagamangala Taluk in Mandya district.
The memorial comprises the tomb of Sri Balagangadharanatha Swami, who is credited with developing the mutt and building hundreds of educational institutions. The seer passed away on January 13, 2013 at the age of 67 years.
According to mutt sources, the Prime Minister will participate in pooja at Kalabhyraveswara Temple located at the mutt before inaugurating the memorial. Later he would address the devotees. According to the tentative itinerary, the entire programme would last for about 1.15 hours.
Sources said that former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda, Union Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy, Mandya District in-charge Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy and Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok are among those who are taking part in the programme.
