To create more global job opportunities for Telangana youth, a high-level delegation led by Labour Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy held discussions with Indian Ambassador to Germany Ajit Gupte at the Indian Embassy in Berlin on Friday.
The meeting focused on strengthening skilled employment opportunities for Telangana youth in Germany, Europe’s largest economy.
The delegation highlighted the growing presence of Indians in Germany, currently 3.11 lakh, with around 1.16 lakh contributing to the country’s economy through taxes, reflecting the rising demand for Indian professionals in the German labour market.
The Minister briefed the Ambassador on the State government’s proactive initiatives to prepare youth for international careers, including the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM), the PM Setu Programme, and the proposed Master Trainer Programme.
These efforts aim to provide pre-departure training, German language proficiency and skill development aligned with German industry needs.
