Mumbai court grants anticipatory bail to Sahil Kapoor, calls allegations of outraging modesty vague

An actor had registered an FIR for outraging modesty against director and producer Sahil Kapoor. Now, a Mumbai court has granted him anticipatory bail.
Director and producer Sahil Kapoor has approached the Bombay High Court to quash a criminal proceeding against him. Kapoor, a Delhi resident, was recently granted anticipatory bail by the Mumbai Sessions court after a case against him was filed by an actor with whom he had made a music video.
According to the prosecution, the FIR was registered with Oshiwara Police Station, under sections 354 (Outraging modesty), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 409 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 500 (defamation) and 509 (insult modesty of woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on June 19, 2021. The FIR stated that the actor had contacted the accused for recording her new album. Kapoor allegedly quoted a sum of Rs 5 lakh as the estimated cost for one day shoot of the song.
