Dhurandhar: The Revenge is smashing box office records, yet the auto-rickshaw driver who appeared briefly in the film hasn't been able to watch it in theatres due to financial constraints.
Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is setting new box office records, but a touching story from the movie has captured public attention for a different reason. Badrul Islam, an auto-rickshaw driver who appears briefly in the film's final scene, has revealed that despite his role, he has not yet been able to watch the film in theatres due to financial constraints.
In a video clip that has gone viral on social media, Badrul says, "I haven't seen the film yet. The ticket costs around Rs 500 and the film was just released, so I haven't been able to see it. I'll see it later." His honest admission has moved many viewers.
When asked if his children wanted to watch the film because of his appearance, he said they did. However, he explained that with five family members, the total cost would be Rs 2,500. Since they can only save that amount in a month, he decided to wait before taking them to watch the film.

While the main cast, including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, are receiving acclaim, even a small role like Badrul's has gained recognition. Fans have appealed to director Aditya Dhar to arrange a free screening of the film for the auto-rickshaw driver.

By weaving in real-life flashpoints – from Atiq Ahmed's killing to demonetisation in India and Narendra Modi's 2014 victory speech – Dhurandhar: The Revenge blurs the line between fiction and reality. Aditya Dhar uses recent history to lend urgency, scale, and unsettling authenticity to the gritty narrative.
