Karnataka 2nd PUC exam-1 results: State records “historic” 86.48% pass percentage

Karnataka's 2nd PUC exam-1 results show a historic 86.48% pass rate, with girls outperforming boys in 2026.
Karnataka registered a record pass percentage of 86.48% in the 2nd PUC examination-1, according to the results that were announced by School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa on April 9, 2026.
Girls outshone boys this year as well, even as the overall exam-1 pass percentage increased by 13.03% in 2026 compared to 2025 (73.45%).

Calling it a “historic result”, Mr. Bangarappa congratulated the students and parents as well as senior officials, DDPU and lecturers. “Students and parents are encouraged to accept the results positively. It is requested that they instill self-confidence in students, inform them about the upcoming exam-2, and provide appropriate guidance to prepare for them,” he said.
While the results were sent to students and parents via SMS and WhatsApp at 3 p.m., this year, for the first time, the marks card was also made available digitally through DigiLocke.
The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) II PUC exam-1 from February 28, 2026 to March 17, 2026, across 1,217 exam centres.
