Did these men steal a cup from McDonald's? Here's what happened
India Today
A viral Instagram video depicting a group of men taking a McDonald's cup for a 'fun' reel has triggered widespread criticism on social media platforms, raising concerns about civic responsibility and online behaviour.
What was meant to be a ‘fun’ Instagram reel quickly turned into a lesson in public accountability after a group of men filmed themselves walking out of a McDonald's outlet with a coffee cup, and the internet wasn’t amused.
Originally shared by users @life.of_pj and @hardik.dhingra.30, the clip shows the group casually walking away with a takeaway cup, presenting it as a playful act. However, what may have been intended as a joke did not sit well with viewers.
The video quickly made its way to X and Reddit, where it drew sharp criticism for glorifying behaviour many considered irresponsible and embarrassing.
Here’s the clip:
Stealing isn’t cool. It’s embarrassing.Stealing a 50 cup from McDonald’s and then flexing about it on Instagram . Imagine the level of shamelessness. First they steal, and then proudly show it off like an achievement. The backlash intensified after the video was accompanied by a strongly worded caption calling out the act. It described the incident as “shameless,” pointing out how stealing even something as small as a Rs 50 cup and flaunting it online reflects poorly not just on individuals but on a broader cultural level.

Over the past week, social media has been abuzz with rumours claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was killed in an Iranian missile strike. However, there remains no credible evidence. It coincided with his reported absence from cabinet meetings. However, Israel has released videos and images to assert that Netanyahu is alive.
