Round Table India inspires 30 underprivileged children by offering them a memorable flying experience to encourage big dreams.
A total of 30 underprivileged children were given a joyful flying experience from Chennai to Coimbatore by volunteers of Round Table India from the two cities in association with GEM Hospital.
The initiative was organised under the “Flight of Fantasy” programme of Round Table India, which aims to take underprivileged children on flights and inspire them to believe that they too can soar high in life.
This edition of the programme was jointly conducted by Coimbatore Acme Round Table 133, Coimbatore Penta Round Table 101, Madras Metro Round Table 95 and GEM Hospital. The children travelled by flight along with their caretakers, Round Table members and volunteers. During their visit to Coimbatore, the children toured several places, including the Gedee Car Museum, Forest College Museum and the Regional Science Centre.
Organisers said the initiative was not merely about taking children on a flight but about encouraging them to dream big and believe they can achieve great heights in life. “The happiness and excitement we saw in the children’s eyes gave us immense satisfaction,” they said.
They added that the “Flight of Fantasy” programme organised annually by Round Table India holds a special place for its members, as it provides an opportunity to bring joy to underprivileged children every year. They also acknowledged the support extended by GEM Hospital.
