Doctors find foetus inside Canadian woman's liver in 'extremely rare' pregnancy

The woman was diagnosed with a rare kind of ectopic pregnancy where the foetus develops inside the liver of the mother.

Pregnancy is one of the toughest phases a woman has to go through. Carrying a baby for 9 months inside one’s body is definitely no matter of joke and often complications arise during the process. However, a 33-year-old woman from Canada was in for a nasty shock when she was diagnosed with a rare type of pregnancy inside her liver when she simply went to her doctor to get herself checked for excessive menstrual bleeding.

The woman was diagnosed with this rare kind of ectopic pregnancy where the foetus develops inside the liver of the mother after a fertilized egg becomes implanted somewhere other than inside the uterus. But generally, those other areas are restricted to fallopian tubes and this strange case of a liver pregnancy was a total shocker to the doctors.
