DK leader describes Stalin as a politician with humaneness; the country follows T. N. in welfare programmes
DMK president M. K. Stalin is a politician who has the humaneness which has made him to help the needy with compassion, said Dravida Kazhagam president K Veeramani here on Thursday.
Speaking at a public meeting here in support of DMK candidate I. P. Senthil Kumar, who is contesting in Dindigul Assembly constituency, he said that Mr Stalin gave ₹1,000 to over 1.30 crore women beneficiaries under the Kalaignar Mahalir Urimai Thittam (KMUT). It was not an assistance or alms, but a right to the people in the society.
The humane approach of the CM has come in for appreciation from many States in the country and they were closely monitoring the programme. When such was the reality, the BJP and RSS functionaries had planned to stall such a unique programme by approaching the courts. Sensing this, Mr Stalin gave the sum of ₹5,000 well in advance and ensured that the beneficiaries sailed through without interruption till the elections, Mr Veeramani said.
The Opposition, he said, were unable to stomach the popularity of the DMK government’s performance. Hence, they were misleading the people. Such tactics would not work here, he said and appealed to the voters to cast their votes for the Rising Sun. “The green light, which glows in the ballot unit on pressing the DMK’s symbol, will ensure everything green and progressive in your lives,” he noted.
The DMK government had accomplished more welfare programmes, which were not spelt out in their manifesto in 2021. Likewise, the people would continue to benefit in the future also, he said and urged the public to vote for the DMK front in a big way.
