Bose Krishnamachari appointed as Kochi's art and cultural curator, aiming to enhance the city's creative identity and public engagement.
The Kochi Corporation has roped in artist and curator Bose Krishnamachari, co-founder of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, as the art, design and cultural curator of Kochi city.
He assumed charge in Mayor V.K. Minimol’s chamber on Wednesday. Mr. Krishnamachari said that he was deeply honoured and grateful to the Corporation for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving as the cultural curator of Kochi.
He hailed the vision behind inviting an artist-curator to shape the cultural imagination of the city. This is an important and progressive step towards building Kochi as a truly creative city, where art, architecture, public space, and civic life come together in meaningful ways, he said.
