Coimbatore District Police launches ‘Kovai Digi Cop’ WhatsApp chatbot for citizen services, enhancing accessibility and emergency support.
The Coimbatore District Police on Wednesday launched ‘Kovai Digi Cop’, a WhatsApp-based chatbot offering various citizen-centric services.
Services of Kovai Digi Cop can be accessed by sending a ‘Hi’ to 9840091100 on WhatsApp. The chatbot has interactive platforms in English and Tamil.
It offers services under nine sections such as, emergency help, find police station, night round officer, online police service, share information, citizen guidance, free legal aid, safety and awareness and track petition status.
Under emergency help, contacts for all emergency services ranging from police to ambulance to suicide prevention helpline can be accessed.
Find police station feature enables the public to locate the nearest police station within the jurisdictions of the district police by sharing their location.
From the ‘night round officer’ section, the public can access the name and mobile number of the police officer in charge of night rounds in each police sub-division.
