Two new trains introduced from Nagercoil, Tirunelveli

Two new trains connecting Nagercoil and Tirunelveli enhance travel links to Karnataka and Hyderabad, inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi.
Rameswaram - Mangaluru Central Express and Mayiladuthurai - Karaikkudi express were also inaugurated
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday virtually inaugurated Tirunelveli – Mangaluru Junction Express and Nagercoil – Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express.
The Tirunelveli – Mangaluru Junction Express will provide a vital link between Tirunelveli and coastal Karnataka via the important districts of Kerala. It will have stoppages at Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Oddanchathram, Palani, Udumalaipettai, Pollachi, Kollengode, Palakkad Town, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Kanhangad and Kasargod before reaching Mangaluru Junction.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager L.N. Rao was present at the flagging-off ceremony held at Tirunelveli.
The Nagercoil – Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express ensures a vital link between the southernmost tip of Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad, an information technology hub. Hence, students and professionals from southern Tamil Nadu can reach Telengana and Andhra Pradesh by this train, besides facilitating pilgrimages.
The train is likely to have stoppages at Valliyoor, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Papanasam, Thirupathiripuliyoor, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Sullurupeta, Nayudupetta, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Bapatla, Tenali, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda.
