Telangana's Civil Supplies Commissioner assures no fuel shortage, with 20,000 kilolitres of petrol available
Telangana Civil Supplies Commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra on Wednesday (March 25, 2026) morning said that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in any part of the State. He said that 1,500 petrol and diesel tankers were supplied to fuel stations on Tuesday (March 24, 2026).
The statement was issued when people continue to rush to fuel stations to refill their vehicles with petrol, diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The stations choked with the crowd waiting for their turn, anxious that they might not get the fuel. To control the crowd, police personnel were deployed at a petrol bunk in Old Alwal to streamline filing of two-, three- and four-wheelers.
The Commissioner said that approximately 20,000 kilo litres of petrol is available and that oil Manufacturing Companies have sufficient reserves of petrol and diesel to meet daily needs.
