Hyderabad Collector assures no fuel shortage, urges public to ignore rumors and avoid panic buying.
Hyderabad District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari on Wednesday (March 25, 2026) clarified that there is no shortage of fuel in the district, amid concerns triggered by circulating rumours.
In a statement, the Collector said that all 181 petrol pumps in Hyderabad district are fully operational and adequately stocked, ensuring uninterrupted availability of fuel. She stressed that there is absolutely no scarcity of petrol or diesel and urged motorists not to believe or spread false information.
Appealing for responsible consumer behaviour, Ms. Dasari advised the public to avoid panic buying or purchasing fuel beyond their actual requirements. “Such actions could create unnecessary pressure on supply systems,” she added. She also warned that strict action would be taken against individuals or groups attempting to spread misinformation.
