A fake dentist operating illegal clinic in Hyderabad's Old Neredmet has been arrested for endangering public health.
A man posing as a qualified dentist has been arrested after officials uncovered an unauthorised dental clinic operating in Old Neredmet, Hyderabad, on Tuesday (March 24, 2026).
The accused, identified as Gupta Ramesh Kumar, a native of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, was found to be running ‘Anjalika Dental Clinic’ without obtaining the necessary permissions from the authorities concerned and without possessing a recognised Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) qualification.
Investigations revealed that Ramsh Kumar moved to Hyderabad at the age of around 25 years and completed his Intermediate education here. He did not have any valid BDS credentials but was practising modern dental medicine and presented himself as a qualified doctor for the past 14 years. Authorities said he mislead unsuspecting patients, thereby endangering public health and deriving unlawful financial gain.
A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.
