Delhi Assembly faces second bomb threat in two days amid Budget session; security measures intensified, but no suspicious items found.
Amid the ongoing Budget session, the Delhi Assembly received a bomb threat for the second consecutive day on Wednesday (March 25, 2026).
The dog squad and bomb squad personnel checked the Assembly premises after bomb threats were sent to the Assembly’s and Speaker’s official email addresses at 9.50 a.m. Regardless of the threat, the Budget session started at 11 a.m..
According to sources, the email mentioned DMK, AIADMK and ISI and said that there will be multiple RDX explosions in the premises at 1.40 p.m.
Earlier on Tuesday (March 24), a bomb threat was recieved on the email address of the Speaker, hours before the scheduled presentation of the Delhi Budget 2026–27.
“The Delhi police have heightened security arrangements and conducted a thorough sweep of the Assembly premises. Nothing suspicious was found,” the officer said.
