A criminal case has been registered against a government school headmaster in Markapuram district, and he has been suspended, for allegedly posting content on social media critical of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Daddala Srinivas, headmaster at the Mandal Parishad Primary School (MPPS) in Thalluru village, Kanigiri mandal, was booked on the orders of Markapuram in-charge Superintendent of Police V. Harshavardhan Raju for posting “objectionable” content on his social media account.S
The case was registered following a complaint by a TDP activist who alleged that the post was intended to insult the Chief Minister and that it had damaged the reputation of the party. The complainant also alleged that the content had the effect of inciting discord among the public.
“Knowing about the criminal case registered against Daddala Srinivas, he has been suspended from duties with immediate effect,” District Education Officer (DEO) C.V. Renuka said in a statement on Wednesday (April 8, 2026). The post that led to the complaint and the criminal case was made on his personal social media account.
