In a now-viral post on Twitter, Anand Mahindra apologised to 10-yr-old Kalaripayattu artist for calling him young woman.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra has apologised to Kalaripayattu artist Neelakandan Nair for referring to him as a girl in one of his tweets posted earlier this week. In a post on Twitter on August 26, Anand Mahindra had shared a video of Neelakandan Nair, and misidentified the gender of the 10-year-old boy, and said in the caption, “WARNING: Do NOT get in this young woman’s way!” WARNING: Do NOT get in this young woman’s way! And Kalaripayattu needs to be given a significantly greater share of the limelight in our sporting priorities. This can—and will— catch the world’s attention. pic.twitter.com/OJmJqxKhdN Thanks a lot for your support and encouragement sir! A small correction - I am not a girl, I am a 10 year old boy. I am growing my hair long for a role in a planned short movie on Kalaripayattu. Neelakandan Nair, soon after, responded to Anand Mahindra’s tweet and corrected his mistake. Now, on Saturday, Mahindra noticed Neelakandan’s response and apologised to the boy in a viral post on Twitter, saying, “A thousand apologies. Your skills are awe-inspiring in any case. And I stand by my warning that no one should get in your way.”More Related News
