Gender reveal parties have become a fad and some delightful videos of the same can be seen on social media. From popping balloons to cutting a cake to reveal the baby's gender, people have done it all. However, a gender reveal party didn’t go as per plan for this woman. Why, you ask? Well, read on to find out the full story.
So, what happened was that mother-of-two Ashlee from the United States threw a gender reveal party for her friends and family. In the pictures, she can be seen with a black balloon to reveal the gender her unborn baby would belong to.
As per a report in the Mirror, Ashlee was absolutely elated to find out that she was having a girl when she saw pink confetti flying out after popping the balloon.
However, she soon discovered that the confetti was actually blue. Her mother had actually played a cruel prank on her and she got to know about it through her son.
Actually, Ashlee’s mother had decided to shoot a cannon of pink confetti at her face at the exact moment that she popped the balloon with the blue confetti just to trick her. The joke didn’t go down well with Ashlee, who was obviously sad and angry.
Take a look:
“Clearly, you can see I wanted a girl so badly and at that moment I felt like I had hit the lottery," said Ashlee.
