
Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 123.15 feet

Water levels in Mullaperiyar and Vaigai dams, along with rainfall data, reported for Friday morning. Storage levels provided.
Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Friday stood at 123.15 feet (permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 633 cusecs and a discharge of 1,200 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 52.03 ft. (maximum level 71 feet) with an inflow of 804 cusecs and a discharge of 569 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 4,311.72 mcft. Mullaperiyar dam recorded a rainfall of 2 mm, Gudalur 1.2 mm and Thekkadi 1 mm in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Friday.
