Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 113.90 feet (the permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 105 cusecs and a discharge of 105 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 56.30 ft. (the maximum level is 71 feet) with an inflow of 110 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,052.22 mcft. The rainfall recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday was: Pulipatti 5.2, Elumalai 3.6, Shanmuganadhi dam 1.4 and Viraganur 1.
