Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on January 9 that December 26, starting this year, will be observed as “Veer Baal Diwas” as a tribute to the 10th Sikh guru Gobind Singh’s four sons who were executed by the Mughals.
Mr. Modi’s announcement came on the day of the birth anniversary of the Sikh guru.
This is a fitting tribute to the courage of the “sahibzades” and their quest for justice, he tweeted.

The procedure of endoscopic removal of stone and blockage from the bile duct, followed by placement of Common Bile Duct (CBD) stent, widely practised in leading medical institutions and private hospitals, was performed for the first time at Government Thoothukudi Medical College and Hospital on a 10-year-old girl.
