The Madhapur police on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) intercepted an illegal consignment of commercial gas cylinders in Pothuraju Nagar.
Acting on specific information, officers conducted a check and seized a total of 31 commercial gas cylinders that were being moved without proper authorisation. The checks were carried out as part of routine enforcement to curb illegal distribution of LPG and ensure public safety.
A case was registered at the Madhapur Police Station, and notices will be issued to those involved in the unauthorised transport.
The police said the seized cylinders were handed over to the Civil Supplies Department for further action in accordance with regulatory norms.
