Ajith Kumar's Valimai, directed by H Vinoth, is soaring high in theatres across the globe. The film successfully crossed Rs 150 crore mark worldwide at the end of four days of its theatrical run. Produced by Boney Kapoor, Valimai is one of the most anticipated films of 2022. While the film received mixed reviews, it is also appealing to family audiences because of the mother sentiment.
Ajith Kumar's long-pending film Valimai finally graced the screens on February 24. The film had a solo release on February 24. The next day, Pawan Kalyan-Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak and Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi were released in theatres giving a tough competition to Valimai.
According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Valimai has collected a whopping Rs 159.75 crore at the box office in four days. The action thriller efficiently crossed the Rs 150 crore-mark in the opening weekend.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala revealed that the film took a fabulous opening in the UAE. Valimai collected Rs 4.85 crore in the opening weekend.

Director H Vinoth's Valimai was announced in 2019. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film's shooting and release were delayed multiple times. After two long years, Valimai finally released in theatres last week and is running successfully.
