Russia-Ukraine war updates: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba compared the ongoing Russian invasion with the 1941 attack by Nazy Germany. He said, "Last time our capital experienced anything like this was in 1941 when it was attacked by Nazi Germany."
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba compared the "horrific" Russian invasion to the 1941 attack by Germany on Ukraine. In a tweet early Friday, Dmytro Kuleba said, "Horrific Russian rocket strikes on Kyiv. Last time our capital experienced anything like this was in 1941 when it was attacked by Nazi Germany."

"Ukraine defeated that evil and will defeat this one," said Dmytro Kuleba even as Russian troops continue to attack parts of Ukraine amid sounds of shelling and missile blasts.

Dmytro Kuleba also urged countries to "isolate Russia". He said, "Stop Putin. Isolate Russia. Severe all ties. Kick Russia out of everywhere. (sic)"
Dmytro Kuleba was referring to the surprise German invasion of the USSR that began on June 22, 1941. It was the time when Ukraine was occupied by Nazi Germany.
