In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Deepika Padukone has named two of her biggest critics. Hint: They are her family members.

Deepika Padukone's recently released movie, Gehraiyaan, received mixed responses from the audience and critics. However, the actress is being lauded for her performance in the Shakun Batra directorial venture. Apart from Deepika, the film featured Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa. After the release of Gehraiyaan, IndiaToday.in exclusively interacted with Deepika, who revealed who are her biggest and most brutal critics.

In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Deepika revealed that she takes everyone's opinion seriously and she is always open to criticism. Furthermore, the actress stated that she's always open to conversation, be it from someone close to her or even those she doesn't know all that well. But, when it comes to the most brutal and accurate critique, Deepika can only trust her family.

"I would say maybe my sister and my mother are the most brutally honest with me. Ranveer (Singh) is honest with me but he still filters a little bit. I think it just comes out of love. But my sister and my mother are probably the most brutally honest," added Deepika.

Continuing her chat with IndiaToday.in, the Pathan actress added that she does take her mom Ujjala Padukone, and sister Anisha Padukone's criticism seriously. "Oh, absolutely, yes. I think it's extremely important to have these people in your life who tell you [things] as it is. Especially in a world where there is so much love, appreciation, adulation and fan-following, all of those things can get to you. So, it's important to have people who keep it real," Deepika said on a parting note.

On the work front, the actress will soon be seen in Pathan opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars John Abraham. Apart from that, she has Project K, The Intern, Fighter and Madhu Manetna's untitled film in the pipeline.
