Teary-eyed Bhagyashree recalls her family did not agree to her marrying Himalaya. Watch

In Smart Jodi, Bhagyashree got emotional as she recalled her wedding day. The Bollywood actress revealed that her family did not agree to her marriage with Himalaya.

The upcoming episode of Smart Jodi is going to be high on emotions. The latest promo of the show features Bollywood actress Bhagyashree recreating moments from her wedding with husband Himalaya Dassani. For the unaware, the couple had eloped in 1990 as the actress' parents objected to their wedding. Now, Bhagyashree has revealed that there was nobody at her wedding and how her parents did not agree to her marrying Himalaya.

As Bhagyashree and Himalaya recreated precious moments from their wedding, the Bollywood actress got emotional while talking about her wedding day. In Smart Jodi, Bhagyashree got teary-eyed as she said, "There was no one at my wedding except him. When I told my parents that I wanted to marry him, they did not agree to it. Parents have dreams for their children, but children also have dreams of their own. And sometimes you should let them realise their dreams. At the end of the day, it's their life that they need to live."

The actress further mentioned, "When people and the media say that I ran away to get married, I feel so, so angry. Because I didn't." Sharing the promo on Instagram, the makers wrote, "Bhagyashree aur Himalay ne yaad kiye apni shaadi ke kuchh aise pal, jinhe sunn kar ho gayi sabhi ki aankhein namm. Dekhna na bhoolein, #SmartJodi, is Ravivaar, raat 8 baje, StarPlus aur kabhi bhi Disney+ Hotstar par. (sic)."

For those who do not know, Bhagyashree and Himalaya Dassani have been married for nearly 32 years now. They are blessed with two children - Abhimanyu and Avantika. Both of them are actors. Abhimanyu Dassani made his Bollywood debut with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota with Radhika Madan. On the other hand, his sister, Avantika Dassani, recently made her acting debut with the web show Mithya, which also featured Huma Qureshi and Parambrata Chatterjee.
