Rajamma, a retired nurse, was on duty at Delhi's Holy Family Hospital, when Rahul was born on June 19, 1970. She held Rahul in her hands as a newborn soon after his birth. Rajamma was simply overjoyed to see Rahul and blessed him with good wishes and love. She also presented him with a packet of sweets.
