
NCC Director-General Gurbirpal Singh to visit Kerala

NCC Director-General Gurbirpal Singh to visit Kerala, hold interactive sessions, inspections, and discuss strengthening NCC presence in State.
National Cadet Corps (NCC) Director-General Gurbirpal Singh will begin a five-day visit to Kerala on April 19, 2025. He will hold interactive sessions with various NCC units and review their activities.
Mr. Singh will hold inspections in the north Malabar region, besides meeting with NCC cadets and trainers in Thiruvananthapuram.
NCC officials said the officer would meet Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and discuss strengthening the role and presence of the NCC in the State, exploring avenues for enhanced collaboration with State agencies and thereby empowering the youth through NCC training.
An official communication from the NCC headquarters said here on Thursday (April 17, 2025) that the visit underscored the commitment of the NCC leadership to actively engage and foster a strong sense of camaraderie among the cadets. It would equally help the nurturing of disciplined and responsible citizens, it added.

The Shakespeare Millennium Club in collaboration with the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), conducted a Free Medical Camp on November 23, 2025 at the church premises from 9 am to 6 pm, with Dr. Samundi Sankari and Dr. Divya Sivaraman of Srushti Hospitals, Dr. Sharada L N of Aramba, the Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee and Satya Physiotherapy Centre, according to a press release.
