In a post uploaded on social media by the Mumbai Police, they talked about respect and urged people to practise it often. The post has gone viral with over 30,000 views.
Mumbai Police is known for spreading awareness about issues and topics through extremely creative and quirky posts on social media. They have become famous for being informative with a twist and the internet absolutely loves their posts. On Wednesday, they posted about a certain human behaviour that is very important to follow. They talked about respect.
The now-viral post had Aretha Franklin’s song, Respect, playing in the background with the word displayed in bold, white letters. “Words that sound even better when practiced,” read the sub-text of the short clip. The post focussed on women’s safety and urged Mumbaikars to be fearless.

Women are treated in the new penal code as being on the same level as "slaves", with provisions allowing either "slave masters" or husbands to administer discretionary punishment, including beatings, to their wives or subordinates. This aspect of the code has drawn particular alarm from rights groups.
