Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar claimed that modern Indian women want to stay single and are unwilling to give birth even after marriage while speaking at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurological Sciences, Bengaluru.

At the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurological Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said that modern Indian women want to stay single and are unwilling to give birth even after marriage. Women these days desire children by surrogacy, he said. Sudhakar also lamented the "western influence" on Indian society and how people don’t want their parents to live with them anymore. #WATCH | ...Today we don't want our parents to live with us. A lot of modern women in India want to stay single. Even if they get married, don't want to give birth. Paradigm shift in our thinking,it's not good: Karnataka Health Min on World Mental Health Day,at NIMHANS, Bengaluru pic.twitter.com/LkX7Ab7Sks Yes Finally Women have started to think beyond Marriage & Motherhood.Period. He is absolutely right . Everything is relative . Breaking of family system is detrimental to society . A stable family system is absolutely necessary for the development of child . Family is above anything . Money is just one thing to sustain family for ultimate happiness. So true we are losing our basic family ethos and values.. not necessary modern women, some progressive parents themselves tell their sons to live separately after marriage for their privacy.,. The most imp thing for your mental health is your surroundingsIf it's not good you will never feel betterSome times it means stepping away from parents.Choosing what is not traditional. If u can't understand this ur mental health will go down over time Those who are saying that it's not important for women to work outside and earn money, try knowing what's one of the leading causes for female foeticide, its financial security associated with sons. Not everyone is capable of educating their daughters & not expecting anything back Why point out only women? Wonder what he has to say about the modern man. I am sure there is a clip somewhere. People these days want to live for themselves only. They want to enjoy everything but not take the responsibility of relations. Marriage too is for sake of free and legal sex. That's what's wrong with people.

“Today, we don't want our parents to live with us. A lot of modern women in India want to stay single. Even if they get married, don't want to give birth. Paradigm shift in our thinking, it's not good,” he said on the World Mental Health Day at NIMHANS on October 10.
