‘Beds in hospitals have been increased and oxygen plants made functional’
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jyothsna has said the Kalaburagi district administration is fully prepared to handle the emerging COVID-19 situation.
She told mediapersons here on Friday that the trend of daily increase of cases was showing the imminent outbreak of the third wave of the pandemic in the district.
“The rapid increase of positive cases of COVID-19 in the district shows the clear trend of the imminent third wave of the pandemic. The district currently has 100 positive cases and 15 of the patients are in hospital. Going by the trend during the first and second waves of the pandemic, the number of positive cases is likely to increase rapidly. The district administration is fully prepared to handle the situation,” Ms. Jyothsna said.
