
Jipmer brings out awareness video on SWM

JIPMER promotes waste management through trilingual video, awareness rally, and cleaning drive during Swachhata Pakhwada campaign.
JIPMER has produced a tri-lingual awareness video on solid waste management as part of ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ fortnight-long campaign of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The video in Tamil, English and Hindi, featuring JIPMER staff, was screened for school children at a recent event.
Another set of students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, JIPMER campus, got involved in an awareness rally to mark the fortnight.
L. N. Dorairajan, Medical Superintendent, JIPMER, flagged off the rally.
A mass cleaning drive was also carried out with the participation of over 180 volunteers.
During the valedictory session, Vir Singh Negi, JIPMER Director, felicitated the prize winners of various competitions held over the fortnight.
Vikram Kate, Dean (Academic), S. Rangabashiam, Deputy Director (Admn), Archana Waganekar, Officer In-charge of Sanitation, M. Thiroumourougan, Sanitary Superintendent, and others participated in the valedictory event.
