Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) organised the Inter-Collegiate Men’s Sports Tournament on the Kakutur campus, which concluded successfully on Tuesday.
VSU Vice-Chancellor S. Vijay Bhaskar Rao attended the event as the chief guest and distributed prizes to the winning teams.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Sports enhance both the physical and mental health of the students. Through sports, students develop focus, patience, and teamwork skills. Success is not the only goal; sportsmanship is of paramount importance for every participant. Our university is always committed to recognising talented athletes and providing them with the necessary support.”
The V-C also encouraged colleges to win accolades in inter-university competitions. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talent and elevate the university’s prestige,” he said.
University Registrar K. Sunitha, Principal Ch. Vijaya, Sports Board Secretary Ch. Venkatarayulu, Tournament Organiser P. Narayanaraju, University Physical Director A. Praveen Kumar, coaches, and physical directors attended the event.
