Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu forms task forces to resolve land disputes and address land-grabbing cases effectively.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the formation of joint task force committees at the district level to resolve land disputes and address land-grabbing cases.
The decision was made during a review of the Revenue Department on the second day of the District Collectors’ conference on December 12, 2024 (Thursday).
Pointing out that a significant number of complaints received by the Home Department related to land disputes, Home Minister V. Anitha suggested a joint effort by the Revenue and Home departments to resolve the issues more effectively.
Responding to it, Mr. Naidu directed that the committees included the District Collector, the Superintendent of Police (SP), the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), and the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
The committees would be responsible for resolving all land-related disputes. There should be a sense of accountability among those involved in land disputes, with consequences for those who commit violations.
“Disciplinary action will be taken against the officials who create fraudulent documents or commit errors,” he said.
In addition, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to review all housing pattas provided under the Jagananna housing scheme and remove any ineligible beneficiaries.
