Murar city Superintendent of Police (CSP) Atul Soni told The Hindu that the driver of the SUV, Aman Sharma, and his friend Abhishek who was in the car were arrested from the spot.
Mr. Soni said that an information had been received at the police control room about an SUV hitting a vehicle at Thatipur bus stand after which a first response vehicle (FRV) was dispatched.
“Even as the FRV was inquiring about it, another information came that an SUV had hit a tempo at a nearby highway. When we investigated, it turned out to be the same car,” he said.

Once seasonal streams, the Moosa and Esi tributaries now flow with sewage and industrial effluents, raising questions about ecological restoration.
