Reportedly, Radhe Shyam was offered a whopping Rs 400 crore by an OTT giant. However, the producers turned down the offer and decided to go for a theatrical release.
Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's long-pending Radhe Shyam was due for a grand release on Sankranti. However, the film's release got postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Now, it has been reported that the film was offered a whopping Rs 400 crore for direct streaming by an OTT giant. But, the makers of Radhe Shyam turned down the offer and are keen on releasing it in theatres.
Radhe Shyam is a period romantic film, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. The makers announced that the film, which was slated to release on January 14, has been postponed due to the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Reportedly, Radhe Shyam makers received a lucrative offer from an OTT giant.
If reports are to be believed, a popular OTT platform had offered a whopping Rs 400 crore for Radhe Shyam's direct OTT streaming. Despite receiving a tempting offer, the makers have decided to go for a theatrical release and hence said no to the deal.
On January 26, director Radha Krishna Kumar took to Twitter to confirm that Radhe Shayam will release in theatres soon. He wrote, "Wishing the greatest nation in love and culture a Happiest Republic Day. #radheshyam in theatres soon (sic)."
