Only days after the Texas school shooting in the US, gunshots were reportedly fired outside Barclays Center in New York City on Sunday.
Gunshots were heard outside Barclays Center in New York City in the US on Sunday. A televised boxing match was underway at the indoor arena at the time. According to local sports journalist Chris Mannix, chaos ensued as the crowd that was headed for the exits after the match immediately rushed back in.
"Frightening moments. Hundreds of fans started to rush back into the arena from the concourse. People -- including media -- ducking for cover," Mannix tweeted. Order was restored shortly thereafter, he added.

This comes only days after the Texas school shooting in which 21 people died.
At the time of the shooting in New York City on Sunday, professional tennis player Naomi Osaka was present at Barclays Center. She tweeted regarding the presence of an 'active shooter' in the area.
