'Dangerous period' of pandemic, says WHO chief after Delta variant found in 100 countries

The Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) said the world is in "a very dangerous period" as the Delta variant is continuing to mutate and evolve in nearly 100 countries.
The Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Friday the world is in “a very dangerous period” of the Covid-19 pandemic after the contagious Delta variant was found in nearly 100 countries. At a press briefing, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the India-born Delta variant is still evolving and mutating to emerge as the most dominant variant of Covid-19 in many countries.More Related News
