Pune eatery blames 'orange-haired man' for LPG price hike, puts up notice
India Today
A Pune eatery's notice linking the LPG price increase to international fuel costs has gone viral. In the notice, the eatery bashed one 'dumb orange-haired man'.
A price hike notice at a Pune eatery has gone viral, not because of the increase, but because of who it subtly blames.
A restaurant in Kothrud has grabbed the internet’s attention after putting up a cheeky message to explain revised rates, turning a routine update into a moment of humour. The notice, displayed at Barve Dahiwada, uses satire to link global events with local price changes, leaving customers both amused and intrigued.
Taking a dig at international politics, the message appears to reference US President Donald Trump, without naming him directly. It reads, “Due to a recent war started by a dumb orange-haired man, prices of crude oil have increased, resulting in higher prices of LPG and plastic. Hence, new rates will be effective from March 21. Kindly cooperate or help stop the war.”

While the wording has caught attention for its bold and humorous tone, it also points to a real issue faced by small businesses. Fluctuations in global crude oil prices often lead to rising LPG costs, which directly affect restaurants that depend on cooking gas for daily operations.

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, this was a well-known danger, but one that appears to have been overlooked in the current conflict.
